Catastrophic failure at gig

After doing about 20 hours worth of gigs with relatively few problems i had my first catastrophic failure on the weekend.

About an hour into my set everything just turned off!

After looking shocked and holding my head for a while i found the source of the problem - my laptop actually needed to be plugged in to electricity! :stuck_out_tongue::stuck_out_tongue:

Cmon NI - why isnโ€™t the S4 providing power to my laptop huh? huh??

Good news is despite the power cut - the database remained intact and i was up and running again a few mins later.

but you do get the warning sign blinking in the s4 when lappy isnโ€™t plugged. maybe a feature suggestion for mkII? :stuck_out_tongue:

Same thing happened to me a year ago, but this was the start of the night and no one in yet:slight_smile: Why blame the human when you can blame the gear:stuck_out_tongue:

LOLz

LMFAO! Shit happen!

Ive done it as well.

The really really sad thing is that about a year ago a guy came on the Traktor forum crying that Traktor did not give him enough warning that he hadnt plugged his laptop charger into the mains and that the power level indicator was not bright enough.

I mean, just how much UI space is enough to tell us that we are forgetful.

I guess the same guy probably called Toyota and complained that his fuel gauge didnt tap him on the shoulder before he ran out of petrol !!!

@ Karlos - hehehe thats ridiculous
