CDJ 1000 mk2 - not reading CDs

Hey guys,

I´ve got some serious problems and I would appreciate anz suggestions what to do with that…

Recently, I´ve purchased a pair of CDJs 1000 mk2 via ebay from some Dutch guy.

They seem to be in very mint condition, there´s not even a single scratch on it.

However, to my big dissapointment, one of the player just doesn´t read the CD.

I´ve tried burnt CDs, original CDs, but without success.

I just put the CD in, and I can hear that sound when the optical mechanics is working and seeking for tracks, but that´s all. After like 1 min, nothing happen, no tracks loaded.

Do you think that the laser is broken, or can it be something else? :disappointed:

Send them in to Pioneer for a drive replacement, lasers have a lifespan.

Update the firmware and see if it works after, if it doesn’t then send it back to the seller.

If you want a tip, just try to get your money back, and buy the MKIII, I own them since some years ago, and I never had a problem :slight_smile:
