CDJ 400 Pioneer+Traktor Pro 2.6.8
I have a technical question -
There is a possibility to play in a club where in the Dj boot are some CDJ 400. I wish to connct them to my pc directly I have a 2.6.8. Traktor Pro.
I would do it in HID MODE. But for the audio should i aggregate the audio devices (windows 7) of both CDJs or ist i better to use my own external soundcard?
i guess HID doesent affect the sound…
I want to use the jogs etc. controls for traktor in HID mode and my audiocard for the output…
Install the CDJ drivers from the Pioneer website, and bring your sound card as a backup.
You can use your own sound card while using the CDJs as HID controllers.
Since I am not that good friend with the club owner I doubt he will let me mess with his cdjs. But instead I will come some day and try that out.
If you tell the club owner (maybe a couple days before the gig) that you’d like to update his CDJ firmware he SHOULD snap your hands off.
You’ll be saving him a job that he didn’t even know he had to do! 
Well, as far as i remember, he told me that the cdjs are modified so that he can connect two HHDs to them. So i guess he knows what he is doing. The owner is a dj himself. Maybe no longer so active…
