CDJ 850s Concern

For about three years I used the numark ndx players and a standard laptop for my mobile disco company, as my company became more busy I took a leap and bought CDJ 850s, bought a Dennon mixer, and last week stepped over to MacBook Pro, this was cos the PC latency gave me so many worries and nothing worked after a recent update

last week I was talking to a DJ company shop, the guy ask what Decks do you have I say CDJ 350s for practice, and CDJ 850s the guy says sell them now. He said 2000s have a USB issue and 850s have a fault on the screen that when they go it can not be repaired. As a pro company I’m now worried is this BS or true. Advice please

Did he say what to replace them with?

The wouldn’t be one of those DJ shops that only sell denon stuff etc?? or sell everything but pioneer?

I seriously doubt that a screen can’t be replaced if it becomes faulty…and I’ve yet to come across a CDJ2000 with a faulty USB socket
