CDJ<–>iPad USB capabilities

Anybody out there know why we’re not able to connect an iPad or other tablet to CDJs via USB? I know it might seem kind of redundant (at least for the 2000s) but given the size of the iPad screen wouldn’t be nice to search you’re music that way? I’ve read about the Denon Engine software but it doesn’t allow for USB connection or control. I’m just wondering if it has something to do with the limitations inherent to USB hookup.

i think it has to do with licensing between Apple & Pioneer.

Seems to me like Denon or Pioneer should be able to make an app that does exactly what you want.
