Cheap "deck saver" idea

Cheap “deck saver” idea

Found this on YT. Good idea for cheap protection for your S4 if you are using a soft bag.

Good idea. Could probably use plexiglass instead of wood and it would look a lot cleaner.

Nice. Good, cheap solution.

Or at least sand the wood smooth before painting, lol.

No doubt!!

You clearly all missed my custom cut-out-of-a-bedding-set-package “BedRaver Shield” I created and posted last week. I think you will all find it’s light on the pocket and heavy on the awesome.

What no link to your awesome thread?

Just joking, yes I did see it. Just something I came across today.

And yes you should post thte link for those who didn’t see it.

What a BEAUTY!

Nice! And here I am using a pillow case as a dust cover.
Plastic looks really thin though is it solid enough to protect it from bumps or just dust?

If I was honest, I would have to admin that this might be only partially resistant to heavy or sharper dust. I do have a large canopy suspended above and two industrial fans located on either side as backup. It’s highly portable providing you have a large truck and a couple of friends.

Hey thats my video! LOL! A guy posted on the vids comments to try plexi glass so I was thinking about making a new one out of plexi soon… still trying to figure out the best way to travel with the S4 on the plane with my other dj supplies. Right now I just protect it and throw it in my carry on.

I just happened to come across your video and thought it was a clever idea that needed to be shared. So thanks for the video, and ups on the idea!

Yeah plexi would look much cleaner and bring the weight down a bunch. Where are you in Texas?

Well thanks for posting it!!!

I’m out in “West Texas” but should be in Dallas soon.

The wood is like a paneling. It weighs almost nothing. I had it laying around the house and needed something quick. The plexi would be so sweet. What do you cut plexi with though?

I did see they had a decksaver now too though…

You can use a circular saw to cut plexi. Might want a fine toothed blade though as a course one might cause it to chip.
