Checking Consistency. Do You Bother?

I do. It takes quite a long time on every startup, but it makes me feel safe, secure and warm in my belly.

Is it worth doing?

Do it sometimes when i got a few new tracks. Make me go warm inside to:stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: Or if i move folders to my external library…

same. i do it only when i get new tracks.

I do it before leaving for a gig.

I do it when I’ve run out of real custard.

Whenever I add new tracks to the collection I run it to analyze the tracks and to see if everything is still working good.

I check consistency and import new music on every startup. It takes longer, but I know shit’s gonna work when I need it. Sometimes I will cancel both if I need to get in quick.

all the time.

I’ve found way to many songs that have been in my collection from one day to the next show up with that darn exclamition point next to it.

Every time. My belief is that whatever you can do to maximize reliability and minimize embarrassment in a live situation is mandatory.

Quiet often though i get the “your collection is corrupt and has been renamed” blah blah message which pisses me of massively. I then go - grab the last backup - rename it open traktor again and all is well.

This exercise wastes a lot of time.

Would be so much better if they gave a bit more information as to what it was having a problem with so it can be rectified.
