Chris Liebing gear

Hey guys

On this website you can see nice long videos with great audio of djs playing at famous clubs and partyies. I love the way Chris Liebing plays, would you take a look at the video and let me know what can you see from his gear… I am interseted in identifying what audio interface is he using and the way he routes Traktor to ableton (you can see it around 01:30) .

enjoy the videos!

Hes probably got 2 audio interfaces that are wired into one another - one connected on one pc and one connected on the other pc.

Yes, could you see which interface is he using?

Haha, I think it’s great how he keeps the headphones on his head like he would need them.

But the interfaces are hard to distuingish. I can find those two white boxes which could be the interfaces. edit: But actually they aren’t, they are the power outlets haha. :stuck_out_tongue: But there is the one black box which is visible at 50:00. Hard to say what it is but surf some audio interfaces and try to find what looks like it. Probably a bit on the higher end maybe? :stuck_out_tongue:

Atleast he is using the xone and what looks like to be a m-audio uc33 to control the software.

Thats right.

Yes I though they were a pair of Miglia HarmonyAudio interfaces

But It seems they are not (it seems to be power outlets as suggested by Anrii)

I am also wondering if he is using the ableton vst for effecting the master output of tracktor or did he route each channel individually and he has the capability to effect each one separetly…

Dont know how old this video is but surprises me he’s using a xone 3D and not the 4D…

i guess it would be the same for uc 33… thats piece of equipment that dates to 2003 NAMM, im not sure about the 3D but i guess he just have those for quiet some time and is probably comfortable with em, and he doesn’t want to switch or undergo some crazy new controler madness… like Richie, still spinning on T3.

Well in this Spinclub 2007 booklet (click here) he states to use:

Left Macbook (Live)

  • Faderfox controller
  • Evolution controller

Right Macbook (Traktor)

  • A&H Xone 3D

Excellent!! Reading the booklet…

Unfortunately I still cannot make out what soundcard he is using for the Ableton Macbook though.

Same, they look kinda familiar too - i swear i should know this !

Is it just me or does this look like the same soundcard ?

This was taken from show your gear sticky thread.

We will look it up in our books.

(Will also do some more Chris Liebing digging. )

LOlz.. what I can find, the Audio Interface that DEADMAU5 is using.

The Apogee Ensemble.

Yo Bento, can you make something out of the picture on this page:

Here’s some other links on which I really cannot make out what interface he is using:

But judging on the typical handle on the frontside, that is reflecting on this picture, it might just be an Audio8.

Some good pics Tekki, found this one there also:

audio interface is a RME Fireface 400
