Clipping/Jittery playback from Itunes in Traktor 2.7. Any thoughts?

As the post says I am having trouble these clipping/jittery sounds in many of my purchased tracks from Itunes being played in Traktor 2.7. I have verified that it does not happen playing tracks I have downloaded from elsewhere.

Any Ideas what the issue could be?

Also what is the most stable version of Traktor at the moment, and how would I go about getting a link to the most stable version?

I have my own product key for Traktor Pro 2 if any of you are wondering.

Thanks in advance.

do the itunes files play okay in other media players?

if not, then it’s the files themselves. I have had the occasional herky jerky file from itunes…

next would be to check latency…maybe reanalyze the tracks…do the small things before you do a reinstall…

It’s worth looking at the waveform on Traktor, see if there are any glitches in the waveform, which coincides with the glitch in sound. If so, it’s the file, if not, try the stuff above, and these;
Remove id3 tags, reanalyse the tracks. Check if they are VBR, it’s unlikely, but can have a very small effect if the processor’s running hard, try increasing latency temporarily to check that it’s not the computer.
Do the glitches happen when macro FX are on? Or if you are doing stuff with samples?
Glitching can also occur when the processor is under immense strain from low latency, simultaneous functions, and by adding more MIDI controllers.
Reinstall should only be a very last resort when the whole prog goes to the tits.

Hi Guys, thank you very much for the replies.

Turns out it was the version of Traktor I was using in the end.

Downgraded to 2.6.2.

Thanks again.
