Is it just me, or are both decks stopped?
She is actually mixing.
The tracks are coming from the soundcard, not from the CDJs.
Shes doing a lot of needless knob touching, but she is actually mixing the tracks to some level.
Saying she is miming is incorrect.
She’s a phony. Throwing the fader up on a channel with no signal is bunk. Same with tapping the cue button on the CDJ. I can’t stand shit like this.
The CDJs are not in HID mode because there’s no feedback on the LCDs. They’re not in MIDI mode because they’re not plugged into her laptop. I guess I’ll give her a pass for clearly mixing 2 channels of audio (evidenced by VU meters) but I’d bet it was a pre-made mix playing through Ableton.
The “Real DJ” part was also in jest because this seems to be what most of the big guys do.
lol, that’s so funny. At first I thought she was just mixing from different sources. The end kills me.
Its all real to me dammit! But yeah she lost me with the CDJs. Might have been just hamming it up for teh camera or something, give the lady a break

Tell you one thing she does better than most so called Pro’s, she is not red lining the channels.
I think she’s a model. I’ve seen this video a few other places and most say she’s taking the Paris Hilton route. I’ll cut her some slack.
The biggest problem is promoters actually allowing this.

Oh and bringing up the fader on the last track that was unbelievably not lighting up LEDs but music was still playing…

She’s actually mixing though… You can see the signal coming in from both channels. Only thing I find odd is on the last drop she just boosts up a random fader that has no signal lol but whatever, can’t be worse than Paris Hilton.
That’s the only thing you found out? Take another look or two.
