Come on DJs! Time to Unite!

It’s time to Barack the vote!! And for you in California please vote NO ON 8!

You might think this is only about gay marriage, but it’s actually a much greater issue. If Prop 8 passed it would be the first time ever that California’s constitution is amended to revoke the rights of a group of citizens.

Come on DJs! Time to Unite! A lot of us have big networks and lots of influence to motivate our friends to get out and vote, just like we motivate them to get out and party. Let’s do this!!! There’s an estimated 15% of registered voters out there that won’t show up at the polls today. Make sure they’re not anyone you know!

As for the errosion of rights… well thats allways a constant - laws get stricter over time and not more leaniant :disappointed:

unfortunatly it looks like Ammendment 2 may pass here in Florida.

Florida Marriage Protection Amendment

This amendment protects marriage as the legal union of only one man and one woman as husband and wife and provides that no other legal union that is treated as marriage or the substantial equivalent thereof shall be valid or recognized.

currently 62% for it, 38% against it… needs 60% to pass. :confused:

I kinda reckon that ‘Marrage’ should be between a man and women but that there should be an equivalent version for gay men and women. This would balance all sides imo.

yeah, and the prop in FL passed… well, maybe the Courts will step in and do the right thing. Though… that seems to be against popular opinion.

Yeah, damn it! Prop 8 passed. Not by much tho. 48% to 52%. Too bad it’s going to be a bitch to change.
