I’m looking for some concept art as a cover for the new double cd progressive mix i’m working on, called “Hemispheres”. I was wondering if some of the more artistic members of the community could whip me up some concept art (or even just point me towards some) , preferably in Hi-Res and either 800x800 or 1200x1200 size. My thoughts were something along the lines of “two sides of the brain” or something like that being 2cd and all. Or maybe some sort of “earth” theme. Basically just wanted to brainstorm in here guys.
Obviously if i was to use your idea i would credit you in the set notes and put links to your website or whatever. Our mixes get a fair bit of traffic and feedbacks so i’d be more than happy to give “credit”
The trippier the better guys! Any help much appreciated.
Post away, i’ma on my 3rd redbull and working on this thing. Boom
Will the two CD’s be different styles of music? What about one side of the earth all pretty and rainforsety looking and the other all desolated and nuclear?
Disc 1 will be 130 bpm, kinda mellow tribal progressive stuff, maybe with some chillout tunes in it. Disc 2 will be progressive psy, around 135-136 bpm, similar to the "luminescence’ mix i did.
i like the brain idea, maybe like a side view of the brain for each cover. except one has a light background with a darker brain, and the other with a darker background and a lighter colored brain.
Not to derail, but Citizen Insane, those fractals are really pretty cool. I downloaded that program you were making em with, but it will be some fun learning how to mess with it.
Great! Loving that painting also, very innovative. I come from a bit of an artistic family actually, my old man is a commercial sculptor and i .. well .. think that gene skepped a generation HA!
Heironymus Bosch, a disturbed individual who suffered from night terrors after seeing his town burn to the ground. His family perished in the fire and this was a catylst for some his purgotory scenes. In the triptych you can see the town in flames. Dreams and Visions, a true master of surrealism.
yeah Hieronymus Bosch is by far one of the most influential painter ever to walk this earth. The only reason the church didnt burn him at the stake was because his version of hell loosened ALOT of coins for the church. This guy was 600 years before Dali. My suggestion is to use a filter in PS that reduces an image into 4 colors… then work with those… using complimentary colors with light and dark values… keeps it clean.
give me a few hours and Ill make something for you.. please pm me the spelling of the text you want on the cover
ok this took all of 2 minutes to arrange.. about 3 minutes to render at this resolution..
I can render it out at any resolution.. 4096 x 4096 if you need it that high.. also colors can be changed.. I just went with something desaturated to keep it less cliche…
Ill do an array with the same objects and see what I can come up with
Im just too lazy to lay it out… so I try and do it all in one go with 3dsmax
rendering the array at high resolution… would post a pic.. but Ive already let the render run… probally take about 2 hours to render compared to 3 minutes…
Im a big fan of arrays
Ok here you go…Somethink made in few minutes, can change almost everything, size, color of every single element or so.
Now you have some brain-idea on paper.
