Control your PC with MIDI…

Dear DJTT’ers!

I want to control iTunes, my Windows Mixer with my Omni Control. Why? Because when i don’t use Traktor or stuff, it would be nice to use the faders, knobs and buttons to control iTunes! Like when i press play the song starts to play, cue for previous set cue for next etc. Is there any way i can transform MIDI data to act like keystrokes? (or more important, like my keyboards multimedia buttons :smiley:)

go for a programm called GlovePIE
it’s free download an enables you to do almost any kinds of shit with your commands (i ended up controlling my mouse with a joystick and klicking with its fire-trigger :smiley:)

Right now i found a program called Bome’s Midi Translator Trial, in combination with some VBS files to control iTunes, works perfect. the only downside is that its a trial, it closes every 20 minutes, if you restart it you need to wait 10 seconds. I will try GLOVEpie for sure!

Autohotkey would be much better suited to this than glovepie imo :slight_smile:
