hi evryone i have bought a pmidi200 controller over a month ago i cannot get it to work at all. when i plug in the mixer the drivers installed (correctly) and the lights start flashing. when i plug it into traktor it recognises it in the in and out ports but the controller wont map because there is no control light flashing. the controller is a hid which i think this is the problem i have had this controller over a month without use so i have tried everything to get it working. i want to get this fixed before i snap the thing in half. if anyone has any info or any more questions il be glad to anwser thank you for your time.

Have you contacted the manufacturer (silly question perhaps) I doubt theres a lot of people with that controller on here ?
Apparently its just a standard midi controller (from what they say on the Pyle Pro website), you could try a trial of VDJ or something and see if midi learn works on it to narrow down if its just your settings in Traktor are the issue.
Verison of windows, version of Traktor and screenshots of your traktor preferences would help with responses.
thanks for the quick reply im 100% sure its not the computer i have tried it on at least 3 or 4 i have tried it on virtual dj pro 7 tonight. when i went into mappings the controller comes up (generic me701) but when you press the learn key it doesnt work. it seens like it works but there is no communication.
i contacted the manafacture company and it was the biggest waste of time they were basicly telling me i need to buy their software which the controller has proven to work with traktor (virtual dj, etc)
+1 on midi ox … if its not sending messages then possibly a dodgy unit, reviews on amazon say it works with Traktor and the site clearly says “Full MIDI Support (Special/General/General MIDI with Response)”
thanks for the link but im a bit stuck on how to use this to see if my it is sending signals. and they gave me a software (e-mix) and this does not work at all i live in ireland and i bought this from america i had to pay customs bills aswell and if i have to send this back to america i wont be a happy camper
Perhaps its a Pyle-o-shite (dead)? First off I’d hammer their support to get an answer, painful as that may be, explain that their own software doesn’t work either (they can’t ask you to buy something you already own). It is their job to support their own products or refer you to a local service center (if one exists).
If your unsuccessful with support - sending it back to the US might be your only option though - Don’t suppose you can get your money back on it and buy something through someone a bit more local like Thomann instead ?
their site says it’s midi so if midiox or miditrace don’t work (or dump(.exe) from my midimasher) then it’s just not working i guess.
if you get something output from hidtrace.exe that synthet1c posted or hiddump.exe from my midimasher (includes a mac version if you’re not on pc) then it at least proves the device is working and it’s a driver issue.
their site doesn’t say whether it’s class compliant or not - so maybe u need to install drivers to get the midi output working
edit: just saw u said that u did install drivers and stuff was flashing etc - can only be a hardware or driver issue tho i guess
but as i said before i tried it on many computers (windows 7, vista, xp) i really think its something to do with sending signals from the controller to the pc
i tried midiox and nothing happend but when i plugged in my older controller it was going crazy with all the signals so its a definite no for sending signals
Did you try different USB cables also does it have external power or an external power plug. Fwiw if you have to send something for warranty usually you don’t pay customs. Living in Canada and most things only having us shipping addresses I’ve found warranty provides no custom or duties.
i used the cable it came with i always use this with my older controller new because its newer but il give my old cable a go now its worth a shot it has an external power but i didnt get a plug with it but the controller installs correctly so i dont think its to do with the power as they would have gave me a power cord
