Correct (laptop) volume levels to send to Audio Interface?

What should be the proper volume levels I have my laptop at in sending the signal to my audio interface?

If it matters, I have a Focusrite Forte and use Ableton, Traktor, FL Studio, and Foobar 2k while running mostly lossless music.

Any advice or audio guides would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Set the laptop to “full” volume. It is OK to have the Traktor limiter on and set to -3 to -6dB. In general terms, keep the volume as high as possible at every output stage without exceeding the next input stage’s capability. Use the channel slider or master slider to control the “final” volume of the system.
