Resumee: After comparing the output from the RME card with the one from Rane’s SL1 (and everything else), I’ve decided to change to a completely controller-based setup. Turntables will definitely go the way of the dinosaur. Now.
It’s the first audio device I ever liked. And I had quite a few
I, BTW, bought a (dirt cheap) Behringer ADA8000 ADAC recently to get a few more analogue I/Os out of the Babyface - works like a charm.
Ah does it? That’s good to hear actually because i will start to need some more I/O’s soon. It is my first Audio interface (minus my Traktor Audio 8) and i don’t think i’ll ever sell it.
Yes, the babyface is a little spartanic if it comes to analogue I/Os, so I guess almost everybody will look for an affordable ADAC. Also buying DSP-based stuff from Behringer tends to be some kind of lottery -either really good, or an endless pain in the backend.
