Crap! Got laid off yesterday.
Why do employers have such shitty timing? Of all the times to terminate someone’s contract why choose 4 days before Xmas? 
Oh well, at least I’ll have plenty of free time to get off my arse and make a proper effort to learn how to DJ properly.

I swear that some employers do it around this time just for fun. I have no idea what you do for work but I can’t even count the number of times friends have been laid off a week or less before Christmas. Hope you New Year is better, Happy Holidays

But i also think it has a lot to do with pays etc.. Like if they paid you off at the start of January i think your entitled to that whole years worth of holiday pay which obviously will cost the company compared to telling you now.. It’s a bitch.

Today is my last day at my BS office job. And I’ve started an internship at a studio, which is awesome, but unpaid. Apparently it got too expensive at my office to keep employing so many people who do nothing but post on forums and read ESPN all day…so they got rid of all of us. I can’t really blame them, but I’m going to miss the paycheck.
Take on every experience as a new opportunity.
Sometimes you have to slow down and pay attention to catch the break though.

I got let go 2 days before a planned 9day vacation ( I gave them 9 months notice and was all paid for and was really expensive.
Makes you really hate some people but I have seen some positives that came out of the deal.

Rather take a job to pay the bills (easy) rather than a job that pays a lot (hard/stressful). You manage to get everything u want, just not the upgraded version, after all, shit evolves so rapidly that even the upgraded version will be shit in a few years since almost everything is made-to-brake/end-of-life etc.
