Crazy Headphones
So I’m surfing the interwebs doing my routine search for new headphones (as I currently own Samson CH700 
) I come across a little nifty piece of equipment.
Depending on the sound quality, durability of materials, and isolation, I think I actually might get these.
Any thoughts?

ewwww dont like the look of those headphones at all to be honest.. They dont even look like something out of Tron lol just looks like a toy, if any thing Beats by Dre headphones look like they would fit the Tron theme much better 
I would say marketing ploy. But Monster usually makes decent headphones though, the makers of the Dre Beats. Its probably just a mix of both being their $350!
They are not DJ headphones.
I bet they last 5 minutes under the strain of DJ work and not just sitting in front of your computer with your joystick in your hand
You have money to burn? These are probably equivalent to $45 Senheisers. You’re paying for the name, two names actually. Monster (seller of crazy overpriced cables) and Tron. Take the money and buy actual DJ headphones.

I was definitely going for the the HDJ-2000s or xd-53. It’s not that I have money to splurge with rather than just looking for something that’ll last for more than a year. I was considering the MDR-V700 until my friend broke them, in the same week he got them, moments before our set.
Honestly though, if they’re anything comparable to the Dr. Dre’s, I would definitely not buy them in terms of audio quality and durability (However they’re still pretty cool looking to me). And I am actually basing this off of actually handling them myself.
But also, I was thinking of ripping out the drivers in my current headphones to see if I can fit them into some Howard Leight Leightning L0F.
I’d pass on those mate. They look snazzy sure but they are bloody expensive and probabbly not too flash for dj work. Get some sennheiser hd215’s and spend the change on whiskey and dancing girls.
The black ones look better but the price doesnt.

If you are looking to spend 350 on headphones the Pioneers are the way to go. I guarantee you will be happier with those than something like these. You also mentioned XD-53s, I have those and they are damn fine headphones. They’re also only going to set you back $250. Probably the sound isolation is a lot better in the pioneers but the A+Hs will come close in sound quality. Either one’s a far better choice than a videogame headset for spoiled kids…
I like the way they look, but they are expensive indeed. I suppose its a question of style over substance and what the headphonesa are going to be used for (bed room DJing or gigs and events).
LoLz… overrated, OEM, multimedia, hifi & gaming crap.
Keep you’re money you wanted to dosh out for that and get cranking with an industry brand.
Monster is known to have crappy quality at high end pricing. (I’m still figuring out how they did it with the Beats though!)
If you’re into producing, look at Beyerdynamic or AKG, if you’re into DJ-ing only look at the skratchworx.com review

I’ve read about people using skullcandys and their on here ‘because they look cool’, and then usually wittering on about their ‘look’ when they play. Usually makes me think they’re prioritising the wrong things …
I feel like they are any mass marketed headphones that have “quality sound”. Basically, as many have stated you’re paying for the brand(s), not the product. However, even if you purchased something that has a higher standard brand (like Sennheiser) aren’t you paying for the brand as well? Of course you’re going to get a deal out of it, but yet you’re still paying for something that could quite possibly be overpriced as well. Honestly, I wouldn’t buy something like Beats or these headphones, simply because they are endorsed by a specific candidate who’s name is quite well known. Thus the reason they are so expensive (basically what I am saying here is that you could purchase a piece of plastic endorsed by someone like Daft Punk and still sell it for above $50).
Apart from anything else they are fucking ugly

Really, the DJ headphone market is almost monopolized in a sense that anything that one buys, to a DJ, is technically a brand name.
