i saw this and though ‘oh shit not the emulator again’ but then saw this, saw somethign similar a few years ago, cant remember what the purpose of it was but it was on youtube around 2007 time, pretty cool but all this ‘touch’ stuff really will never be able to emulate the feeling of an actual piece of hardware being there and really reacting to you. i think its useful as a tool to add on but never as a standalone. my 2 yen just

Björk has been using something very similar (if not the exact same thing) for quite some time now. It’s pretty damn cool, but I consider it rather an instrument than a DJ tool.
Seen that a long time ago. There is a couple videos on youtube of it in a live setting, Couple people jamming on it

It’s ReacTable - there’s an ipad app if you want to play with this.
Old news, the tech has been around for a minute, think some guys at MIT were working on it years ago. More like a toy than an actual tool I’d say
Crazy - yes. Touchscreen Interface - yes. DJ - not so sure.

Have the ipad app its not that great to be honest… Original has been around for years its unusual but cant imagine getting a crowd going mental to it… Looks more like a game… * rolls dice.. Gets 5, pick up card… Now pic up bass cube… Place cube on board… Rolls dice gets 2, pick up number 2 card… Twist any synth on table to affect its parameters…* now that i can see being fun
