Creative USB Soundcard
Up for sale is my Creative SoundBlaster MP3+ USB soundcard with the following accesories: original box, HQ USB cable (long, thick, with ferrite choke on one end), plastic clip for attaching on laptop screens (see the photo), CD with drivers and bundled software, manual.
The soundcard has gold-plated in & out RCA’s, gold-plated 3.5mm mic input and headphone output and also optical S/PDIF in & out for connecting with 5.1 Hi-Fi systems (or MiniDisc players).
For DJ-ing I was using it on a couple of home partys with Virtual DJ as master out (with cue on internal laptop soundcard), has a really good sound quality and beside the option of connecting it with 5.1 systems it comes with Creative mixer utility which enables “what-you-hear” recording in any recording program such as Audacity (so basically, sampling of any sound you can hear on your PC/Mac). The mixer utility is not available online so it’s a lucky coincidence I saved the original CD.
Last time I used it it was with Traktor & Asio4All (11ms) as master output for my pool party (of course, it was a simple playlist so I didn’t need monitoring through headphones) and it worked like a charm.
The card is perfect for recording mixes from external mixers thanks to gold-plated RCA’s and great sound quality, it’s compact and offers a lot possibilities thanks to the mix of analog & digital in & out’s.
The biggest problem I had with it is the BRIGHT blue LED on it which flashes when there is sound going through the outputs. I had to cover it with ducktape, it was super annoying, especially at night.
The soundcard works on all win OS’s (including Vista, 7 & 8) and on macs, can be used with USB hubs but they need to powered. Condition can be seen on the photos (just a few nicks and scratches), reason for sale is because a Audio 2 would be beter suited for my needs (I don’t sample anymore and when recording I’m using Traktor’s internal recorder). Price is 30€.
I’m located in Zagreb (Croatia) but I can work something out for UK shipping so hit me up with PM ![]()
