Custom ITCH mapping

Here is a blog post of someone who has created a custom Ipad app for itch.

He hasn’t released any details but it looks a bit like that mitch app.

I’m wondering if he is simply mapping keyboard commands or is actually sniffed the protocol and emulating a hardware device.

IIRC, that Novation automap software can use a MIDI signal to piggyback on a keyboard command, making Itch think it’s a keyboard.

any key to midi prog could do this.

The concept is very old. I borrowed the idea from SSL maps to do this with Itch a while ago: Using Multiple Controllers With Itch - DJ TechTools

I really need to get back into it again and incorporate the little that can be done for SP-6 with either a MidiFighter or Dicers…
