Custom Maschine Mapping Question
Hey Folks,
I’m working on a Logic Pro X Mapping for my Maschine Mikro in midi mode. I’m looking to add functionality to the keyboard mode by adding a way to scroll through the piano 4 semitones at a time. In other words, I’d like to do this:
Position 1.
C4 - C#4 - D4- D#4
G#3 - A3 - A#3 - B3
E3 - F3 - F#3 - G3
C3 - C#3 - D3 - D#3
*Hit designated “Down” Button *
Position 2.
G#3 - A3 - A#3 - B3
E3 - F3 - F#3 - G3
C3 - C#3 - D3 - D#3
G#2 - A2 - A#2 - B2
and so on.
Obviously mapping the pads like this is time consuming and a pain, but more importantly the only way that I know to change the pads like this is to switch groups.
When actually playing, this is a pretty cumbersome way to simply shift by 4 semitones.
Is there a way to set buttons in controller editor that will simply switch groups by 1 degree? Alternatively I could use the wheel, but this might not be as accurate on the fly. I’m using the Mikro, so I don’t have access to the quick group buttons like I would with the full size maschine.
If I get this all set up, I’d be happy to share the mapping with anyone interested.
