Custom Timecode Vinyls?

Custom Timecode Vinyls?

so a friend mentioned to me that he knows someone who can press custom vinyls for any DVS. obviously, i want my hands on some, does anyone know any company that does this?

I mean, I assume any company that can press dub plates for you can press custom control vinyl. Not sure how long they will last haha. just gotta figure out what format they use.

Keep in mind I only listen to vinyl for enjoyment, and my collection is made up of indie and folk hahaha.

yep

hey man, I love all my nick drake vinyl…

actually… Its kinda weird that I only have vinyl from mostly dead artists… hrmmm, and lots of them released their stuff on cd too.

then i hope you will understand when i tell you please don’t buy my music if it ever gets released. please

Well, I hope that you dont go Elliott smith on me and decide to stab yourself in the heart. Twice. But unfortunatly, you have now been moved to the top of my vinyl list, right above my next future purchase, Joanna newsome’s new album.

creepy

but seriously, who has vinyl pressing equipment?

Vestax sold a vinyl pressing kit a while back for $5000, saw it on craigslist recently for $3500. Sapphire cutter was good for 100 hours worth of music.

Me too. Bryter Layter is one of my fave albums.
Have it on re-pressing, lovely thick vinyl.

sicwax does custom timecodes but they only work for ssl deckadance and numark virtual vinyl. upon request i think they may be able to press traktor scratch compatible timecodes

Not that it probably matters or would even be acted upon (i dont think?)
but Traktor timecode is copyrighted and it is illegal to press it onto vinyl.

We had a big artist ask about pressing his own timecode on the forum and he was told that he couldnt without getting the licence.

I wish NI would team up with more people and make cool timecode.
Ive asked NI to make some stuff with Ninja Tune or Stussy a few times.

There is only Desolat which im aware of and that was very cool but expensive.

god… DAMMIT KARLOS.

I know, i know but im only saying as that might be why that company does Serato and other timecode but not Traktor. Maybe they havent/cant get the licence.

I suppose NI dont want people knocking out cheap timecode but if you go to all the trouble to press vinyl i guess you arent doing it on the cheap.

It would be a shame if the licence was prohibitively expensive.

Id love to have my own personalised timecode. It would be ace.

for real, but like you said, its not like NI is gunna send a german ninja assasin to come whack you for the timecodes then burn them along with ur body right :stuck_out_tongue:
