Can I just say, that looks extremely cool! Have a feeling a lot of people both here and on other sites would be very keen on getting a copy of that software! Great work so far, keep it up man and don’t forget to let us know how things go.
I’m waiting for my friend to send me the source as there are still some bugs and I want to fix them first. I want to remove the anti aliasing because it’s causing a bit of flickering/tearing on the cloned windows. Nothing too major but I’d like it to be as perfect as possible first.
dude that software would be so awesome.
just a couple of weeks ago i spent a whole evening searching the interweb for all kinds of magnifying apps, but none did what i wanted.
now yours looks like exacly what i been searching:
what i would use it for is just to display the upcoming track (respectively both decks track infos) and put them on an extra usb screen, so my mc on the front stage can easily read which track is coming up next.
really looking forward to any news about this. and i’d even be willing to donate a little thing to you and your programmer friend. the only problem beeing that i am on OSX.. ![]()
OSX version almost certainly won’t happen, from me/us at least… I will upload the source (if I get permission) so that anyone else can make an OSX version though.
oh yeah - this is the latest screen I’m considering:
Technical Details:
10-Inch Digital Photo Frame
UbiSync USB mini PC monitor to use as a secondary display
1024x600 resolution for detailed images
1GB internal memory
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...ie=UTF8&s=photo
the good thing about it is that i’ve got the option to display Traktor at fullscreen width… not quite high enough but I can sacrifice some of the track display.
ahh yea well that what i been guessing.
maybe i will crowdsource that same program for osx and hope that i find someone to do it for 50 bucks ![]()
imo that new screen looks a little cheesy, but i guess the higher resolution makes up for that…
The facia/casing will be removed as I’m designing a custom bit of plate metal that will encase the whole front and all the internals (midi controller etc) in a flightcase.
so how’s this whole thing going?
i would wait another week before i post but i’m so damn curious about it! ![]()
i’m esp. curious about the software!
i think it’s not only of use for djing but you can put that software for a lot of other purposes to use!
no progress made since the last update.
I’m waiting for the guy who programmed it to give me some more information about how certain things work. I have the source but it still needs the anti-aliasing turned off so that it doesn’t flicker so much.
If I don’t get it sorted by, let’s say, Sunday 26th July then I’ll stick the version that I’ve got up on here as is.
I completely forgot about this, sorry!
I’ll upload the program tonight with some instructions ![]()
this is the 7 inch lcd touch screen I got for my vci-100 mod
http://www.polares.com.au/Catalogue/Products.aspx?CatID=27401
this thing is cool…
it plug to my laptop by VGA & usb
one thing I love is the P.C audio inputs by RCA
so I can plug my Edirol fa-66 sound card out-put ( 3 & 4 for my headphono’s ) into the P.C audio in-puts on the Screen and then plug my headphonos to the top off the LCD sreen by the mini headphonos jack & control the volume for the headphonos by the screen
I have set the touch screen to control my laptop not the screen…like a big mouse pad
nice & small…& cheep at $200
turntable case to fit the new VCI-100 body…$ 140
this weekend I pick up my innofader crossfader for the mod… for $ 220
next week ( pay day ) I will get the DJTT arcade buttons kit…$ 43 when I open my paypal account
then I can start to cut up my vci
DAMN! Nice to see some progression on this. I like the new change on your monitor. A touch screen will fill in all those gaps of non-midi assigned function. I know I still have to touch my mouse pad at least 2-5 times every gig. To searches or something. Keep it going, can’t wait to see a video demo.
Clone Thing by Spinor
"How to use it?
You see a list with regions to clone (initially it is empty). Below the list there are some fields to enter new regions.
-
Enter the name of the window you want to clone, but instead of taking the full name in the title bar, just use the first 10 characters. Alternatively select the name from the list of all currently visible windows by clicking the ‘Select Name From List’ button.
-
Then enter the coordinates of the source region. These are the top-left X and Y position followed by the width and the height of the region (so not the bottom-left X and Y position!). You can use the included program, “AU3_Spy” to give you the precise co-ordinates of where the mouse pointer currently is.
-
Finally enter the coordinates of the destination window. Again, the first two are the top-left X and Y coordinates. The second are the target width and height. Press ‘Add’ to add the region to the list.
Repeat 1-3 until you specified all the regions Then press ‘Go’ and the windows will open. Right-click the windows to unlock them so you can resize them.
You have to make sure the windows you clone are actually visible on the screen or else it won’t work."
You can use (ctrl+alt+shift + F1/F2/F3/…/F12) to toggle the windows on and off temporarily.

itx board on sale for 50 (35 after rebate)
nice one - that’s pretty cheap ![]()
anyone know how a dualcore atom would do for running Traktor 3?
This looks pretty decent:
would fit nicely into a flightcase with a USB screen and a midi controller.
i would assume it could deal with 2 decks and a bit of FX .. the main issue will probably be memory ..
btw .. this is some what related
MiL0, sup
I posted that board because in your op you said you were looking at itx mb’s. The board I linked is lga-775 for core 2 desktop chips. I dont think the atom would be worth it because the desktop chips are cheap enough and many times faster.
also the link I gave you is outdated now but there is newer boards from them on newegg
I was going to use something along these lines for my project, but the spare parts I had lying around were for IDE connections only.
