4 hours hahaha, man I couldnāt take it. Not my style. I like Deadmau5 in general, but I find all his production is so similar (except for several exceptions) that it all sounds the same after a while.
Iāve seen him before, it was good but I didnāt understand what everyone was raving about. Then again I donāt really know many of his tracks. I love dropping them in my sets though, because I donāt spin many tracks that are like his.
Dude i aint gonna lie. I got mad track that have been dropped by this cat. The dude is the man. But (yes and i do mean BUT) come on man!! he 's throwin these new tracks at us, like what, twice s week!?!?! Well mabey not twice a week but sure as hell seems that way. the complacentsey can be some what obvious.
Now let me go back to sayin RESPECT mad respect. Hell i say if ya got in your mellon then drop that shit. But dudeā¦dude focus on me for a sec yeah! yeah iām not a massive fan but im going to see him at my favourite club for free so i canāt complain.
Itās an afterparty for good vibrations festival so its probably going to be packed as fuck.
If at any point me and my housemate get sick of it we will just leave, but the price is right

gave him ample time to build up to something but it never got anywhere.
Definitely got into it at some points but not my cup of tea.
His lemur was giving him trouble a few times and he got pretty ticked off at it.
Also he broke the law and smoked inside, tried to hide the first ciggy but when he realised nobody was gonna do anything about it he openly smoked.
It was an after party for a festival but i dont care, for the love of god dont sit at the same BPM all night with the same boring proggy basslines. There was some epic build ups but they went into the same boring basslines.
Well that sounds horrible and disapointing. Hopefully he tries when he come here. But seeing that I live in Ohio he probably wonāt.

Not to be a jackass, but why is everyone complaining that deadmau5 is slow? Compared to what? DnB? Not trying to start a fight, Iām just saying that heās about along the same speed as most electro/house/etc.
But Iām jealous. Thatās raw. I wish I had the chance to see someone like that. The only people that usually come around the Chicago area tend to be acts like Cascada. Not that I wouldnāt be down to see Cascada, but come onā¦

I live only in Columbus, Ohio. A little surprised that Deadmau5 wouldnāt come to Chicago.
When I was travelling I went to The Family a couple of times - nice club.
Iāve seen Deadmau5 twice at Shindig in Newcastle - both times have been absolutely off the hook - the second time even better as he wore my homemade Deadmau5 head and DJāed with it on, hahahahha!
guess its just not the genre for meā¦ i can totally dig it but i feel the pace needs to pickup more.
Fair enough. Personally, I canāt stand music thatās too fast for too long. Plus at clubs I like to hear music I can dance tooā¦ Not that you canāt dance to fast music, but I donāt wanna be all tired. Hah.

This dude does have so much potential tho.
Iāve seen him 2 or 3 times and I think the first half of his set is always pretty slow and proggy techno-y, but then the second half really picks up in intensity. Tracks like Longest Road, Hi Friend, the melleefresh stuff, and (obviously) The Reward is Cheese really get the crowd going.
I will concede that his mixing is basic at best. But, heās big becuz his name is on the tracks.. just like (pretty much) every other ābigā dj.
I would figure his mixing is pretty technical considering all the gear he uses. IMO heās doing it so well, since heād have all the parts to his own songs etc. in Ableton that you donāt realise how good the mixing is.
At least, Iād hope.
