Denon SC3900 - Traktor - 4 Deck Mapping for 2x3900’s

…Took a while getting kinks out but works perfectly now.

Must import Both A + B files tsi into traktor.

This is a setup to control 4 decks in Traktor.

Audio Setup for me goes to give you an idea with an x1600>

Deck A + C input routing on both to channels 3/4; Deck B + D input routing on both to channels 5/6 (where my Decks are connected to)

Output routing all decks to lines 1/2 3/4 5/6 7/8

The A + B buttons switch between decks A+C and B+D.

If A button lit then controlling decks A or B

If B button flashing then controlling decks C or D

There is led feedback for everything.. be sure to set LED mode to feedback.

Changing from controlling A or C, B or D will put the deck not controlled (Deck A if switched to control Deck C) in internal playback mode and continue playing… and vice versa.

Auto Loop and +/- works like normal on all 4 decks

The cue buttons are set to 8 cue’s instead of 4 + samples as I have an F1. Pushing an unarmed cue button will set cue then trigger, SHIFT + Cue button will erase. The MIDI BANK 2 (Cue’s 5-8) Flash when loaded instead of always on so you know you are in bank 2.

Sync button syncs.. SHIFT + sync sets to Master

Fast search buttons ffwd/rewind

Track Search buttons set manual loop points

SHIFT + Hot LIST button toggles deck C or D between track deck/live input/ sample/remix deck. Careful if player is running and transmitting hybrid timecode, if you toggle from Track Deck to Remix/Sample it will have to toggle thru Live Input and if your faders on the channel is up you will hear the timecode.

TAP button resets tempo on deck (important for using sync etc w/ hybrid timecode)

Single/Cont button >> Turns on/off FX1 Memo/Util button >> Turns on/off FX2

key adjust - normal mapping for keylock on/off

Arrow buttons control playlist tree… browse + load work for all decks too.

Using Traktor hybrid mode is a bit tricky I have found anyway… haven’t been able to calibrate first with MK2 disc… but works fine without. Just have tempo on 3900 at zero and start playing on decks A + B… it will go into relative mode and everything else should work fine..

It’s cool you can control tempo and even scratch on the remix decks..

Can you explain how you mapped it. I am trying to modify your mapping into 4deck from just one 3900. I took a look at yours for a sec before I had to run and noticed that by switching with a + b no modifiers switched.

also do you know the difference btw port 1 nad 2

It should work fine… Deck A mapping to control A + C if midi channel on deck set to 1; Deck B mapping to control B + D if midi channel set to 2…

Also you should delete other mappings you might have that may interfere..

If you wanted to control Deck A + B with one 3900 then you would need to go into the controller editor and change deck target from C to B on every control on the Deck A mapping…

Awesome but is switching midi channels the only way? How could I put all 4 decks on one midi channel and switch btw all decks with the 1,2,3,4 hot cue buttons?

Also do you set the led to feedback on the 3900? I couldn’t find it in the menu.

As far as I know it is not possible to map 4 decks with one SC3900 as there are only 2 modifiers in the traktor controller setup…

cant download the attachments

When I try to download the attached tsi files I only get to a php file.
Am I doing something wrong?
