met this cute latin girl who hands me a hell lot of latin music.
heard this track, know i had to remix it.
couple of hours later i got this very simple but effective drum&bass version.
this is my first actual remix. let me know what you think, guys.
pretty clean remix, and has a fun feel to it , but it is a bit repetitive here and there. i felt like there should have been a harder drop at 1:36 or so when it comes back in.. and when you break it down at around 2:40 you should really chop the samples up more and spread it out some before coming back in for the final drop.
some more sequencing and you could have a banger imo. good stuff
Lots of potential here, I like it!
You need some better snare in there, and a deep bassline to accompany the weak bassline that’s in there now. I would actually do a lot of other little things differently, but it’s your remix not mine. Keep at it.
i knew i had to put another bassline under to make it actual DNB, but i am not that good at basslines yet. should try around a little probably. wouldn’t mind if this was going more DNB and less lounge so i can drop it in a club.
if you like to join me working on this remix, let me know. i am always up for collaborations.
the drop is lacking a more of energy due to the missing “dnb-bassline”.
what do you mean by chopping the samples up? putting effects over and adding elements? thats what i thought. or just rearraging the sample itself? i want the final second breakdown to be longer too.
yah i would actually re-arrange the sample to build more drama and intensity in the second break.. stutter it out, reverse notes here and there, re-order the notes… whatever have fun with it… but after that break down it begs for some wild sequencing
