Detroit for NYE!

Me and a couple friends are thinking of hitting up detroit for NYE. I want some advice from the locals on where to go/when.

I already know about skrillex at the palace and it doesn’t seem like a good NYE event for me. I want something a little more scaled down that I can actually talk to friends etc…

So what are the good clubs in detroit? I’ve never went clubbing there so any suggestions are appreciated, if you know headlining artists or genre of music let me know…I’m open to just about anything.

Necto in Ann Arbor is fun, and Pontiac has Tonic and Clutch Cargos. If you’re looking for a gig in Detroit proper you might want to check out The Works, or The Tangent Gallery.

Or you could drive out from Detroit to Owosso and come to the Hickory Ballroom, and see who’s spinning there New Years Eve! coughcough
