Did they jack DJTT’s logo…???

OK, so they didn’t completely steal it. But damn, it’s sure close.

well no disrespect but its not a very original logo so its not really a rip off.

right, but the curvs and shape of the pause/play is strikingly similar

Nah, it is a play/pause icon, not much room for creativity there.

PRE-CISELY

lets not be big headed about something that is just out there in the public domain.

no, that’s just a little triangle and an eleven.

The ™ is kinda interesting though. didn’t really notice until now.

if apple did it, im sure these cats can do it too.

abcdefghi(apple tm)jklmnopqrstuvwxyz

Looks more like a CDJ button to me.

I would argue that you are comparing apples and um…standard icons. I think this would be akin to an attempt to patent a star or the square root of -1. Though the i in Apple’s case is very specific to that exact design of the font matrix. Could I get sued by Apple if I started a group of criminals called iCONs. Probably, but they would likely lose unless I used the same i in their patent.

EDIT:
I should clarify by saying, sure they could patent that specific design (if the TM on their T-shirt is actually a registered one). I can not seem to find the DJTT logotype that is similar to OP but IIRC DJTT is a bit more square button like. Depending on when each is patented there may be a case since their markets may have a bit of overlap. nvm found it–think they are dissimilar enough not to warrant legal action----but reeeeally pushing it though

patents, trademarks and copyright are pretty complex things. Infringement can also be you trying to get leverage off someones branding but really depends on context and business category
