Did This Ad Really Need Dubstep ???
Dubstep for all:
I think if she was in a ninja suit, fighting other ninjas (or zombies) then yes the dubstep would be perfect. I kinda like it, but not necessary. lol
The slo- mo is over used. It would have been better if it was edited starting in real time and then accentuated with slo mo and some double time where the video is sped up and then slowed into slow mo. This would match the essence of dubstep. I agree, the music doesn’t make sense.
what the hell does this music have anything to do with dubstep?
lololol PLEASE don’t tell me this is you questioning the misappropriation of a genre name
Apologies if I could only post poorly used electronic music in advertisements in this thread if they were in the 140bpm range
I’ll get right on starting a separate thread entitled “Did this ad really need moombahcore?”
Not a fan of dupstep, but I dont think its use was missapropriated here… its use is missaproprited everywhere…
kidding, no but really i thought it kinda suited the gymnastics girl.
You kids loving dubstep, how do love a girl listening to that, wouldnt the girl eventually just slap you in the face and ask you just to find some rythm rather than these sparodic thrusts…
is it obvious that my mind made the leap between dubstep and making love after just having watched the gymnast girl. mmmmmmmm
oho wait the ad was for a computer what if I switched chanel because I thought it was some gym thing I had no intrest in?
Cool gymnastic ok music but totaly bad Ad
retarded !
Music unneccasary, but i would like to have some form of relations with the star of the ad.
^ i can get behind that…literally ![]()
nah it´s all good. i wasn´t hating on you
juts on the video and the wrong title of it.
Yeah, dubstep is a buzz genre. It’s has a big pull in pop culture right now. My sister is 18–she and her friends love it.
It’s no different than when Grunge music started showing up in ads in the early 90s. Except there was no Grunge forum on the internet to bitch about it ![]()
Dubstep is totally mainstream. Maybe not full on dubstep, but the general wobble synth sound is totally mainstream.
The kid’s clothing ad had it, that Microsoft commercial made that song with the dubstep inspired bassline a hit. The new Under Armor and Gillette razor ads have dubstep.
It’s not really a fad, those sounds are now part of music. They will evolve into other things, but those sounds are a part of music now just like stabs, pads, and electric guitars are.
The way the editing was done I thought it worked quite well ..
Shouldnt the question be …
Prefer dubstep being used in adverts than played clubs TBH ![]()
I really liked the guitar in Chemical Brothers tune.
I don’t think the dubstep was that out of place in the first video. Use what you wanna use
Thank you Lethal, for posting that. I’d totally forgotten about it.
