Digitizing vinyl
Whats the best way to do this.
From record out on my mixer?
From pre out off my amp ?
From tape out on amp ?
Any opinions would be great as i’m going to take the plunge and start doing my 20 odd years of house music(arrrg)

Thats what im using at moment , did not really know if recording out of the amp beefs up the signal?
Well, the fewer conversions the better.
and it might be a good idea to use a fresh stylus, or if you’re feeling flush an archiving on (I use an Ortofon Arkiv for doing this with old hip-hop records …
No mixer here mate, deck to amp and then to computer.
Deck to audio8 which is straight to computer.
I ditched my vinyl turntables ages ago. No amp either. Anyone tried those straight up USB Turntables? Totally stupid & crap? I only saved about 30 records but it would be nice to hear them again.
I tried last night all ways with same tune but really could not hear a noticeable difference.
I recorded straight to to uncompressed wave just to make sure.
