Discrepancies between Serato DJ and Mixed in Key bpm + key analyses

Hi,

I am just starting out with Serato DJ and I notice that after analyzing my files, some bpm and key analyses differ from those in Mixed in Key. Which ones should I pay attention to? They may differ slightly like 4A and 4B.

Also, how can I tell when a song’s beatgrid needs to be manually fixed? Does anyone have any tips on how to learn how to do this?

Thanks

almost all modern dance music is in minor key, aka the “A” version of any numeral.

Where key is concerned, if presented with a choice always stick to what MiK tells you.

Mixed in Key is more precise than anything, just believe in what it tells you and forget the rest.

BPM is easy to tell, a metronome (I use Traktor, and I suppose Serato has it) will do the job. The metronome will tell you if the beatgrid is wrong too.
