DIY Midi Controller

Hi all,

I’f i wanted to attempt to make my own midi controller.

Is having an old mixer a good place to start ? could use the shell and just replace all the innards with midi controlls etc .. ?

Is there anything anywhere that tells me where to start ? Whats items i need etc ?

Got far too much spare time on my hands that i want to have a go at this.

I would also like some information on this, most of the tutorials i have found seem a bit to advanced and id like to be slowly pushed into this kind of thing then find my own way.

Guess I just need some 1st pointers on what the brains are … Where in the uk can I get a brain, what exactly is it I need ??
