DJ Movie Hall of Shame

DJ Movie Hall of Shame

alright there’s a bajillion “best dj movie” threads floating around this site.

so why don’t we flip the script and post the worst dj movies/documentaries, so we know which ones to skip.

saw half of this piece of garbage the other day, it’s a new one. avoid at all costs!!!

Groove, at all costs avoid this piece of trash…the big “payoff” (I think) is when John Digweed points at the record when the breakdown happens in Heaven Scent…

thre was a post on a particular one that was about some chick who was becoming a dj and another dude that was her ex or some shit like that.

i want to watch it for lulz

lol this movie looks really terrible. like just seriously horrible.

I can’t say I know of that many DJ movies. Maybe I’m just out of the loop on this one. Basically the only one I know is It’s All Gone Pete Tong.

lol yeah i know what one you’re talking about.

looks like a real gem..
behold!

yeah this looks promising.

^^^bahahaha…

all i thought of the last 10-20 seconds with her dancing pressing the headphones against her head was…

“OMG I BEATMATCHED WITHOUT SYNC! I REAL DJ NOW!” DANCE!!!*

.> There was stuff like this out there?
oh boy…

The problem is that I’m a fan of the lead male actor since his role in lie to me (pretty sure its the same guy). :rage:

Groove wasn’t that bad, but yeah the Digweed and a fresh crate of wax thing kind of ruined it.

hahaha

But how cool would it have been for that kid who John gave the pre-press too?

i think this is supposed to be a comedy, but it was actually just really depressing at the best of times and a total embarrassment to film at the worst.
if two hours (or what seems like two hours) of adolescent poop jokes against an ibiza backdrop is your idea of a good movie, don’t miss this masterpiece…

Man, don’t diss the DJ Girl movie. After all, the trailer alone teaches us some absolutely essential techniques.

  1. Step back from the decks and throw your hands up from time to time.

  2. In case of trainwrecking or needle skipping, point at some chick and shout “she hit the decks”. That will resolve the problem of a booing crowd.

It also teaches us a style lesson. There’s always a Gunther around, and if you want to be a gunther yourself, you should look a little something like this:

Looks like a pretty amazing movie to me. The only thing that exceeds it the very informative classic “Clockstoppers”, which teaches us that if you seriously lack skills, especially when it comes to doing headspins on your 1210s, it’s good to have those two friends near who can slow down time and help you with that.

Doood, I hated this movie so much, just hated it. it was just a complete abortion.

IT’s all gone pete tong was awesome.

Groove was awsome to you just had to be there back in the 90s when there where map points in random alley ways, partys getting shut down and then re opening, Groove was like many nights I had in a movie form. Love that movie.

^ haha

yeah honestly i HATED groove when it first came out, i must’ve been 15 or 16 at the time - still obsessed with the rave scene, so found it offensive for whatever reason.

but i saw it again maybe 6 months ago and enjoyed it… it’s really cheesy and camp, but not terrible if you don’t take it too seriously.

That DJ girl movie is horrible. It kind of implies that Djing isn’t for girls or that they aren’t good at it.

Houstons voted best DJ are girls lol wonder if they’ll get a kick out of it XD

Oh my god! Watching Groove now! Its absolutely terrible! Not actually sure what its telling me showing me what the story is blah blah blah!

^lol.

i found beers made it go down a little smoother.
laugh at the corniness of it all, there’s enough of it!

oh yeah and then there’s this piece of shit documentary.

behold…
