not to be a party pooper but your ebay auction makes it look like you are selling one of our controllers (an original all black SE) and not a modified silver version. You should probably make that more clear

Other than the supplier, can you confirm that actual differences between a black 1.2 unit thats been flashed to 1.3 by the user, and an originally shipped DJTT SE unit ?

No I mean, whats the difference between an original black (1.2) unit thats been 1.3 upgraded, as opposed to a DJTT unit..
Once its been flashed, is there anyway to tell ?
Gotcha. Good question.
main differences:
TEchTools version has black jog wheels/knobs/faders and chasis.
Techtools version was flashed by a pro so you know there are no problems with the firmware upgrade.
The overlay was put on by us so that should have also been done properly.

Our controllers come with a techtools USB cable.
I personally rubbed snake oil into the jog wheels which makes them turn faster (lol)
Now I know why I can’t do all the stuff you can do on a VCI. And all this time I thought it was talent

My VCI has black jogs, knobs and chasis, and its not a DJTT original.
Got mine in beautiful black from Thomann, but checking there now, they seem to be back to silver only.
arent the LED’s different colors also?
Not as standard as far as I am aware. Lots have modded them tho.
