DJing Name Help!

Hey guys,

So I created this poll / thread just to see what you guys think. My real name is “Kunal” and online i’ve always gone by Coldfuzion. I just DJ right now, and produce slightly on the side - but eventually I plan on producing a lot more as well.

Here’s the reason behind naming of Coldfuzion:
I started gaming at an early age I took (god knows why) a bit of time and decided to come up with a name that would represent me the best way I could think of and I went with Coldfuzion.

Coldfuzion:

Cold - Wherever I am, whatever I do (Sports or whatever) I am extremely competitive. Competitive to a degree that I don’t even know if it’s healthy at all, but I have always had a cold hearted kill streak in me. As in if we’re doing something competitive I have a killer instinct, or so I have been told.

Fuzion - I will take everything that you do, learn from you, and fuze it with my knowledge to just - simply put - make it better.

Since I started gaming back then, I played a few different games, and used then I moderated on another forum and have used it ever since. Everytime people switch things and they see “Coldfuzed” or “Coldfuzion” most of the time it’s me and it was easy for people to identify.

Hence the name Coldfuzion.

Anyway after talking to a bunch of people and reading Xtianws response on his branding thread I got to thinking.

Should I just use my first name? Like “Diplo, Sasha, etc.”

And if I used my real name Kunal, I think it would be easier for people to identify me, and it means: Unique and it is also a type of bird found only in the himalayas.

So what do you guys think? Stick with DJ Coldfuzion, or go with Kunal?
I’m still extremely extremely extremely early in my DJ career (or I hope it turns into a career), so I figured now would be the best time to actually change it if I were to do so.

Definitely your real name, to be blunt i think Coldfuzion sounds like a name somebody would choose for an online game.

And Kunal is a cool name!

Edit: Just read the rest of the post, it was - i just don’t think names like that scream professionalism.

i quite like coldfusion

i dj as either aerodynamite , or just max walker (my name)

cuz i put out my bassier productions under aerodynamite , and more chilled out tracks under my actual name to keep the 2 separate, so it depends on what im playing

Coldfuzion is a cool nickname. I like it a lot!

and Kunal is a good name. Whenever you’d like, you may just advertise yourself as

OT: I regret i didn’t signed up with my good old nickname “loop” or “loopbg” in this forum as in the NI … nicknames are good!

I dunno, Dj names seem a bit overrated but then again I have been playing with different variations of this username I have had since I was like 11 =p
Real name is Richard and it sounds a bit bland

there’s bound to be another “coldfuzion” out there because it’s not such a rare word. I think “kunal” is the better choice. it’s unique plus it has an exotic ring to it.

You are really lucky having a cool sounding ‘real name’

KUNAL is a great name. I know or care what it means it just looks and sounds pretty exotic and cool.

Use it cus, coldfuzion is a bit juvenile for a DJ. great forum name, not a cool dj name.
