DJM-800 Question
Hi,
Would it be technically possible to connect a Pioneer DJM-800 via USB to my laptop, and in Traktor assign Deck A’s output to Channel 1, Deck B to Channel 2 and Maschine’s output to Channel 3 ?
I find information on the internet very confusing.
Thank you.

No, the DJM-800 doesn’t have USB. A quick glance at the picture section of Google could’ve told you that.
Use a USB to MIDI converter and yes it is doable. However, you’re aware you also need a multiclient capable Audio Card ?
I am aware of that, however I thought this cable would be a MIDI to USB cable equivalent to a USB to USB cable.
Thanks
What is this ?
How about the Xone:92 ? Is it the same thing as this mixer or can I use that one as a USB soundcard out of the box ?
No. Neither the DJM800 or Xone 92 have a soundcard.
Alright, that’s the sort of answer I needed.
So I should buy an external Soundcard such as the Traktor Audio 6 or 10 right ?
Yes or a DNX1600 or DJM 900, they both have Traktor Scratch certified sound cards in them.
The full list from the NI site.

And as a final note, I approved a thread in the buy sell forum just a few minutes ago that had a Korg Zero 4 for sale.
That link is exactly what I needed, brilliant!
And thanks for the call on that Korg Zero 4, this would perfectly fit my needs AND budget.
Cheers
