DJM800, sound color knob doesnt work.

DJM800, sound color knob doesnt work.

like the title says it doesnt work anymore. well it works but has no adjustment anymore, its kindof stuck in one spot if i hit the color fx, but moving the knob makes no alterations.

anyone have any ideas?

The pot is probably busted, rip that sucker open.

time for a new pot, they’re about £35 for the part if you know someone who can fit it for you

If you know someone who can fit it, they’ll be able to get you a pot for a lot less than £35

the genuine replacement is £35, i know you can get pots cheaper but why fit an inferior one?

Pioneer will be using pots sourced from a big manufacturer like ALPS so there’s no reason you can’t go straight to the source and avoid the extortionate middle-man prices.

whats the part number for the switch? i cant seem to find it on the diagram…

The part number for rotary potentiometer of the “color” function of DJM800 is: DCS1095
You need to have some soldering skills to replace it or have someone do it for you.

You can find the part on our online shop: http://artaudioparts.com/product/dcs1095-rotary-pot-color-frequency-for-pioneer-djm700-djm800/
