DJs and Musicians in Germany

Yo, just wondering if there was any artists on this forum who are from Germany, I’ve just recently moved there and I am trying get in contact with some locals about up and coming events and to meet people on here.

yo, representin’ germany over here. What Genre do you play?

Germany is a very big country, might help mentioning which part you are in

Germany here, too  like Diesse said, it’s a big country - so better define what means “local” to you  I live/play in the South.

aye!

Yeah I guess I gotta be more clear for some folks I live near Weiden and Amberg. and to answer your question despo I spin electro house, dub step, trap, drum and bass, hip hop, but I don’t mind playing house, reggae, and tech house.

Mannheim. Hallo!

Moin moin! Hamburg

Plopping like a little Grüber.

(Nope, not German here. Though I loved playing there.)

I want to move to Germany if that counts.

Moin Moin! Hamburg too.

Yo Subbes and till drop, what’s the best clubs to perform at in Hamburg?

In Hamburg there is the “sinful mile” street called “Reeperbahn”, which has tons of bars, clubs and prostitutes. There are other locations, but 95% of the nightlife is at the Reeperbahn. There big clubs with several dance floors, bars that barely fit in 50 people and everything in between. Top40, electro, black music (RnB, Hip-Hop, Trap), techno, … everything. Also the clientele differs just as much: kids, students, adults; cheap or high class; casual or dress code…

What are you looking for?

It seems like something worth checking out. Have you had gigs out there before tilldrop? I’m a black american guy who plays black music and house music i would like to play to those crowds…but i’m still learning the german language because i know alot of promoters where i live would like the dj to speak german to his audience enough to where they can understand the dj.

like tilldrop said. there are a lot of clubs/bars/corners here in Hamburg. I prefer the Noho and China Lounge when I go out. Wich is like 2 to 5 times a Year.

And I don´t think it´s that important to speak german perfectly since the most people here speak english very good.

Noho

China Lounge

Thanks for the advice Subbes, but I’ve heard the China Lounge is permanently closed now. Have you been out towards Bavaria (Bayern) in cities like Nuremberg or Munich to check out the music scene?

Not the music scene only the Beer scene. Have been in Munich once to visit the Hofbräuhaus and Oktoberfest. But that was 10 years ago and I don’t Remember much.
