You wouldn’t expect DJs to know much about physics? Screw you, I have an A level in physics.
And changing the pitch of music surely isn’t as good a way of demonstrating doppler shift as just saying ‘you know what happens when an ambulance drives past you with the siren on?’.

I wish that people would get the idea that DJing is an instant “cool button”. Hell, if you’re DJing stuff like birthday parties, bars or house parties where you provide background music rather than playing to a dancefloor, DJing can be pretty asocial, being stuck behind the decks when everybody else is socializing.

david icke is an odd one (in sooo many ways). i remember when he used to present some morning (i think) tv show in the uk and then went all odd… and now he seems to be quite popular and people actually believe him etc? takes all sorts i guess.
