DJTT USB cable "correctly grounded: at one end only to combat ground loops."

DJTT USB cable “correctly grounded: at one end only to combat ground loops.”

Hi

it says DJTT USB cable

“correctly grounded: at one end only to combat ground loops.” on the article replies

is this a common thing on USB cables?

I feel i wouldn’t know anything about USB cables if it wasn’t for DJTT.

and that i should do the honourable thing and buy the cable.

but I’d like to know is most cables have this kind of grounding?

I really need to get that corrected RD444 as it is misleading, the device end shield is connected to the gnd.

I think someone got confused because to avoid ground loops a device design should not connect its gnd plane to the shield of the USB connector.
