Curious if most night clubs keep an sl1/sl3/etc hooked up apart of there equipment or when you go for a gig they ask you to bring your interface. I had a gig where they asked me to bring it but I thought most had it hooked up already.
I fixed your original question so you get relevant answers.
This question is has little relevance to UK and slim relevance in EU and your just getting a load of answers that don’t help.
One of the clubs I play at from time to time down here has an SL-3, but they don’t have serato CDs. I know of a club back home that has one as well, but I’d agree it’s by no means the norm.
Only ever seen a Rane 57ttmsl (which has a Serato inerface built-in) ONCE at a club. Everywhere else I’ve spun, even the Guvernment in Toronto doesn’t provide an interface. Most clubs will provide at least TTs, only some provide CDJs. Most also provide a mixer, but strangely enough there are a surprising amount of places i’ve been to that provide two TTs but not mixer.
As long as you have an interface you should be fine to spin in like 90% of clubs.
I will say though that like 80% of the DJs I’ve ever had to switch out of or into, use Serato. Often in a lineup of 3 or 4 DJs on the night, i’ll be the only one using Traktor timecode. (keep in mind, I mostly spin hip-hop and Top 40).
Hit and miss here. Some of the bigger clubs have installed CDJs/TT will typically have em unless a guest DJ happen to walk away with it. Some of the smaller club you have to bring your own decks to plug into their sounds. Bars for the most part you have to bring your own decks and interface.
