Do You Want to Beta Test?

Do You Want to Beta Test?

Do you have:

  • vci-100 firmware 1.2
  • a little bit of spare time
  • interest in trying out all the features of the vci-100 special edition

Then you qualify!

So message me here on the forum and I will get you on the beta list for mini.Translator and the new vci-100se preset. You need to be a forum member so I can give you permission to access the folder.

I fit the job description and yes I am keen to give it a go.

It would be great to be your beta tester! But my VCI’s firmware is 1.1… :disappointed:

ewww…sorry for the noob question, but how can I check my VCI-100 firmware?
Let me guess. The ordinary one comes only with 1.0

I don’t think 1.0 was ever released to the public ? - i could be wrong
There is 1.1 that has jog problems - i believe this to be the original release
1.2 fixed jog problem. - Vestax started shipping units with a new firmware and a 1.2 sticker on the box
1.3 Ean Golden Special Edition. - do i need explain :stuck_out_tongue:

If you need to test to see if you have the 1.2 firmware this is from the update release info.

“Jog wheel Cancel Mode
Due to sounds at clubs and large venues, when using
the YCI-100 near heavy bass, the vibration can offset
the jog wheel and the pitch may change. To continue
your mix in severe conditions, we have updated the
YCI-100 with this new feature.
When PGM1 and PGM2 “vinyl” (jogseek) switch are
pushed at the same time, the function of Jog is
canceled and the JOG’s LED is turned off. The update
will assist your DJ play by turning the platter functions
off, 'therefore if the jog sensor/platter is touched or
shifts by accident your DJ playing will not be affected.”

This will only work in with the 1.2 firmware and not the 1.1 firmware.

yes pls i fit the bill… and i like to test new stuff…

new kid on the block with the latest nike’s was always my dream

If I got that right, if both jogs are pressed the blue LEDs should be on and not the red ones. If thats correct I have 1.0 and can’t test anything …eww

ALim, if you press both Vinyl Mode buttons it should turn off the LEDs off the jog wheels. That’s firmware 1.2

Oh!
It turns both LEDs off if I press both buttons so I have firmware 1.2.

Sorry, wasn’t sure about the jogseek thing.

EDIT: PM’ed ean to ask for access to that folder
