Does Arcade mod need resistors?

So I’m going to go arcade on my vci but i was not sure do i need some resistors for those buttons… I tried search but didn’t find any info… and i was thinking butting led’s there to cause i have seimitsu buttons and i can make led mod to those, so do i need resistors for those too?

Resistors for the LEDs, or the buttons?
You need resistors for the leds (likely 100ohm), but I’m pretty sure you also need pull-up resistors for the buttons.

I don’t think you do need resistors for the buttons, I’ve watched the how to video on the arcade mod several times while half dreaming of doing it myself one day and I don’t think they mention them.

In all honesty, I don’t know the answer to that…

But I did the arcade mod and compiled a lot of info / vids together onto my website.

Might help for something

seem’s that it’s little bit language barrier I said resistor and ment diode whit that. as my language we use another word for diode which traslate resistor more easily…:stuck_out_tongue:

You need diodes for the buttons yes. You do not need resistors for the LEDs( if you put them in) because they are already on the main (large) circuit board

Buttons, yes.
Leds, no.

Made the modification myself, like this.
