Does traktor work wth mac osx 10.6 snow leopard ?

I’m running 10.6.2 on a new unibody mbp with 2 gigs of ram and traktor runs beautifully.

is there a reason why it woiuldnt?

I to be honest don’t know.
But i read somewhere that it’s not compatible with it. But meh traktor here i come :smiley:

Traktor and 10.6 are perfect together.

It’s BEAUTIFUL, I actually just updated to 10.6.3 on my girlfriends macbook (my music machine is dead at the moment :disappointed: FRIDAY!!!) And it runs extraordinarily well. I am running traktor also on a headless Dell dual core 2.2 Turion, same ram, same HD and a BETTER VIDEO CARD (Radeon xpress 1250 VS GMA950) and the macbook CREAMS the Dell top in not only traktor, but ableton as well, with the SAME external hardware :smiley:.

It says at the bottom there that Traktor 3 le, is not compatible with snow leopard ?

Thats correct but look closer… That is Traktor 3 LE not Traktor PRO LE

Traktor 3 and that series of Traktor is discontinued and is not supported by 10.6

Hardware manufacturers should not be bundling Traktor 3 LE anymore.
HTFR have probably had a lot of customer complaints that they are recieving T3LE instead of TPRO LE so they put that warning on the page.

But don’t you still run Traktor 3? My friend is still running T3 too (he sees no reason to update…) and 10.5. Let me tell you that his 10.5 memory management is MUCH better than my 10.6.3 (10.6 is much more memory hungry). Don’t bother jumping to 10.6 until you have to!

I already have 10.6.3, Brand new macbook one week old.

So lets say i’m gunna move to traktor, Whats my best option ?
HArdware + Software ?

Easy one: Traktor Pro with a VCI 100 SE!!

Just get the VCI first and upgrade from Traktor LE (included) to PRO.

Well, until recently you were right. Since the MIDIfighter arrived, I have been mapping and honing Traktor Pro and it’s nice.
So for me it will no longer be a problem to use Snow Leopard. :smiley:

But, its the first time I heard really bad things about Snow?

Not saying its bad, as I’ve had zero problems. But I don’t see the need to upgrade until we are cornered (like people still happy with XP).

Thing I like about Snow Leopard is, it’s using GPUs to aid processor power. With a/my MBP it’s a big plus, as that it’s got 2 graphics cards.
