Doubt between 2 sound cards

Good morning,
I am starting to alelstire my small desk for production, predominantly dance. I will not use musical (live) instruments but only pc, ableton, 1 pair of krk monitor, 1 large (mute) midi usb keyboard and 1 midi Novation Launchkey.
I am choosing between a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and a 4i4.
Why might I need a 4i4 in spite of the 2i2 which seems sufficient for me?

I’d only grab the 4i4 if you ever want to stay flexible in the future for more in/outs to jam live or record but the 2i2 does sound like it packs enough for your current needs. There isn’t really a wrong choice here.

Your timing is pretty good too, the 4th gen just dropped.
