BTW Not the best mix i ever made technically cause i just knocked it out in one go with out much planning and was pretty lean to be honest (only one slight clang and i could be shagged to edit it out)
Went a bit overboard on the beatmasher here and there… too temping to twiddle
Listened to it at the bar and I have one critique, lay off the EFX a bit when doing a demo mix IMO. The mix has a good flow and vibe going then out of no where you’re breaking out the stutter FX and so on. Proper to use when you’re playing live I’d say so you have that interaction with the crowd but not good for a mix you just want to listen to.
It’s not a demo or anything, just a bit of fun like. But yeah your right, i did a couple of just simple crossfades and they’re my favorite mixes on it tbh.
It’s just once i’m synced in (as in pressed the button) i get a bit itchy.
Next mix i do i’m keeping it smooth though cause that suits my style of music better anyway i think. That’s how i used to play when i just had two tts and a mixer. Even when I had serato i was always just about nice long crisp simple mixing.
All those knobs and fx and at the end of the day they don’t make my mix sound better… oh well
Maybe check out some of my older mixes which are a lot smoother tbh .
Winter Warmer 1 and 2 were both done on serato and have minimal fx
