Everything sounds muffled as hell and I have a show on saturday… anyone know of any OTC remedies? I’ve done the saleen solution and it helped a little. I’d go to a doctor, but being in the US, it’ll end up costing me the same as a mortgage.
Um… free clinic or emergency care centers are probably your best bet (a visit may run around $150, and they might offer financing options)… an ear infection will probably require antibiotics, and you don’t want to risk what an ear infection might do to your hearing in the long term.
after it clears up I would recommend trying out ear candles a couple times a year . I seem to be prone to getting ear infections . After I had one that sent me to the emergency room I had it treated with antibiotics and then looked into things to avoid getting an ear infection .
I’ve had motor oil fall in my ear when I was in the Corp, that was nasty! I thought I would have really messed up hearing after shotting the 50cal in the sandbox in 2003.
But really you should go to the doctor. And like somebody said most hospitals that just have like regular doctors you can go see (obviously I don’t mean like an ER) will let you finance it.
Thats what I find insane about the USA and other Great Countries! You have to be either insured, or public assistance to be seen at the doctors…if not you have to be financed! Last time I checked there is a credit frezze.
Seriously contemplating moving to a commonwealth country liek BC or somewhere just for the health benefits. I really don’t understand why Cuba can have great socialized medicine and the US has to remain privatized.
Yeah, for me it seems completely unnatural to not go to see the doctor. Or to even wonder about it with something like ear infection. It’s more like, of course you go to see the doctor. Either go to public healthcare and wait a bit more and get the medical analysis + prescription for like $15 or go to private sector and pay about $40-50 for the same thing and wait much less.
And the public sector is, well, not as good as the private but on a world wide scale it’s really good I suppose. And even then we whine about it.
Though I think Finnish system isn’t the optimal one (maybe a bit too public oriented and the public sector isn’t that cost effective) I think it’s much better than the US system. Healthcare should be about ethics, morale and treating people, not about making huge piles of money.
I have permenant ringing in my ears from too much clubbing is there anything that can at least make it a better or is there nothing that can be done. Not even been the docs as i always read that nothing can be done.
