Fk’n A. Tho dubstep is so varied thats not always right. There is also a lot of the more 2-step / UKFunky / Hyperdub etc influenced stuff thats pretty damn tricky as its at very variable tempos and has crazy patterns agwarn.
I find all genre easy to mix when you know the songs you are mixing
breakbeat tends to be more forgiving if you’re slightly off, found when i started using house again i had got a little bit lazy over time, but all good now ![]()
I agree with the minimal part, because there are often parts without melody which allows for unharmonic mixing..
But I disagree if you mean to say that trance often lacks vocals..
for some reason i find mnml harder. getting there with it, but find i have to mix ‘differently’ to how i would with electro house, which in turn is slightly different to how i’d mix breaks
