Eddie Halliwell using Traktor? (after all that CDJ-2000 hype)
Saw this clip pop up on his Twitter last week, and after all the “no laptop required” hype around the CDJ-2000’s with all their DJ endorsements (including Eddie) it was a surprise to see a laptop running Traktor on stage

Have you heard the dubstep remix of that song? It’s ok for a few plays. but then it can get repetitive and slightly annoying

edit : it seems to me that he’s still using the efx1000 and the djm mixer effects? im wondering if the laptops just there or is he actually using traktor? didnt spend enough time watching the vid to tell
in this post he’s using a touch screen controller - the jazzmutant lemur? he seems to have gone digital/dvs hydbrid

everyone seems to go “Aaaaaaah!” after that for some reason unknown
he seems to only use the cdj2000 to “scratch” and the jazzmutant lemur to control traktor in 4 decks? at the end of the vid you can see 4 decks running ontraktor on his mbp
guess the “dawn of the new age” didnt really work for him eh?

well he was one of the biggest hard house dj’s about 6-8 years ago… but now seems to be just another generic dj playing S.H.M shite and cashing in on a name he established for himself years ago
Indeed, I remember thinking he wasn’t half bad back in those days, but v much agree with what’s happened to him now. Every set I’ve heard recently is filled with “Eddie, Eddie, Eddie” or “wikikikikikikikikikikikikiki” (let’s see how long I can do this with my EFX-1000) “wikikikikikiki”
But most notably of course he’s a Pioneer Pro DJ who apparently thought CDJ-2000’s were the bee’s knees (well, when they paid him to anyways!)
